Job Location: Select Tool USA Inc., 7346 Nineteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48314
Job Description: Programming and Operating Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure best quality products and services.
Reporting to: General Manager – Select Tool USA Inc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop CMM programs based on job line-up.
- Measure and adjust checking fixtures and gauges to meet final tolerance specifications.
- Perform overall functionality and appearance quality checks.
- Develop certification and measurement reports.
- Perform gauge R&R’s as well as part layouts.
- Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Verify and maintain equipment accuracy as well as work area cleanliness and order.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of PC-DMIS and SolidWorks software an asset.
- Relevant experience with automotive checking fixtures.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret part prints, product specifications, and GD&T.
- Efficient planning and execution of tasks.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
- Strong Mechanical background is considered an asset.
Education:
- Minimum High School diploma.
- Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in a related manufacturing environment.
