The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Monitor real-time data from SCADA and DCS systems to identify potential issues and take corrective actions within the remote operations center (ROC).
- Supervise operators during their shifts, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely and effective manner, coordinating with field personnel as needed.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
- Provide training and development for ROC operators on new automation systems, operational procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Evaluate operator performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide coaching to maintain high standards.
- Manage operator scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-focused team environment.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of SCADA, DCS, and other automation systems used in the oil and gas industry.
- Troubleshoot technical issues within the ROC, coordinating with other teams when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies related to automation and data analytics.

Requirements

- Highschool Diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Process Control or a related field, preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
- 2 years of management experience, required
- Proven experience in oil and gas operations, preferably within a command center environment
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, including team motivation and performance management
- Strong understanding of SCADA systems, industrial automation protocols, and data analysis tools.
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to regulatory compliance
- Effective communication with diverse teams, including technical personnel, field operators, and management.
