JOB DESCRIPTION

The Remote Operations Center Assistant Manager will oversee real-time data monitoring, supervise operators, and ensure safety and efficiency in oil and gas operations. Leverage your expertise in SCADA systems, provide training, and foster a collaborative environment. If you have strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team!

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
  • Monitor real-time data from SCADA and DCS systems to identify potential issues and take corrective actions within the remote operations center (ROC).
  • Supervise operators during their shifts, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely and effective manner, coordinating with field personnel as needed.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Provide training and development for ROC operators on new automation systems, operational procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Evaluate operator performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide coaching to maintain high standards.
  • Manage operator scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
  • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused team environment.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of SCADA, DCS, and other automation systems used in the oil and gas industry.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues within the ROC, coordinating with other teams when necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies related to automation and data analytics.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Process Control or a related field, preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
  • 2 years of management experience, required
  • Proven experience in oil and gas operations, preferably within a command center environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, including team motivation and performance management
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, industrial automation protocols, and data analysis tools.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to regulatory compliance
  • Effective communication with diverse teams, including technical personnel, field operators, and management.

Physical Demands and Exposures
  • This position works inside a climate-controlled environment. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
  • Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
