Job Description
The Project Engineer will be responsible for designing water pipelines and pump systems and effectively communicating with project managers/construction managers to assist in building out the system.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Conduct hydraulics modeling to support project design and analysis.
- Perform pump sizing calculations and select appropriate equipment.
- Understand and apply knowledge of the design life of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) materials.
- Design water pipelines and pump systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and schedules.
- Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hydraulics modeling and pump sizing.
- Strong understanding of the design life of HDPE materials.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction practices and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Ability to travel 25% of the time or as project/team needs arise
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
