Job Description
Select Water Solutions SCADA Specialist will provide advanced technical expertise to support Select Water's Operational Technology (OT) team. The integrity of our control systems and the data they create are paramount for productivity and efficiency in our operations. This role focuses on three key areas: SCADA system reliability, operational data analysis, and Command Center quality control for Select Water Solutions' water management systems.

- Design, monitor, and maintain SCADA system health
- Lead troubleshooting for complex data collection and connectivity issues
- Implement and optimize system monitoring and alerting
- Ensure continuous operation of critical control systems
- Design and implement system improvements
- Conduct advanced analysis of equipment and system performance data
- Develop and maintain automated operational reporting and dashboards
- Create and monitor key operational metrics
- Lead efficiency improvement initiatives through data analysis
- Design and implement changes to command center visualizations
- Develop and optimize system alerts and notifications
- Ensure data integrity across operational platforms
- Implement data validation procedures

Requirements

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4-6 years experience in SCADA systems or related field.
- Must have 3 years experience with Ignition SCADA platform.
- Proven experience with Ignition development including scripting.
- Advanced experience with MySQL databases and data management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of industrial control systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Gainesville, TX.
- SCADA Systems: Ignition (required), with scripting experience.
- Databases: MySQL, SQL query optimization.
- Programming: Python scripting, Java fundamentals.
- Data visualization development and implementation.
- Industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Advanced Ignition certification.
- 3 years Python development experience in industrial settings.
- Oil & gas or water management industry experience.
- Oil & gas operations or senior technician experience.
- Expert knowledge of industrial networking protocols.
- Background in automation system design and implementation.
