We have an immediate need for a P.E. Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer in the Jacksonville, FL area.
Base salary is relevant to experience.

Responsibility — Electrical Design, 35%
- Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
- Perform field work inspecting plant conditions verifying existing plant conditions
- Routing tray, conduit or cable o layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources
- Preliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controls
- Perform engineering calculations as required
- Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible
- Check design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Design loop sheets, elementaries, system architecture, and other wiring diagrams
- Make recommendations based on Arc Flash studies
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
- Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers
- Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and services
- Write client's scope document
- Develop bid packages, lead bid meetings and evaluate bids
- Write material requests and contract requisitions
- Manage procurement and construction activities
- Coordinate project safety, timing, and other issues
- Lead checkout and startup activities
- Control documents generated during the course of the project.
- Issue documents to client for permanent storage.
- Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
- Review project scopes for inclusion of reliability expectations as defined by client.
- When an opportunity occurs, work with the client to determine the scope.
- Engineering Degree
- PE License
- CAD Proficiency
- Minimum 5 Years experience of doing Electrical Process & Instrumentation Diagrams for industrial projects
- Experience with Loop sheets, wiring diagrams, flow meters, controls symbols.
- Pulp & Paper Industry experience is a PLUS but not required.
