Electrical Engineer- (E&I)

We have an immediate need for a P.E. Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Base salary is relevant to experience.

You are expected to be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week and be able to work fairly independently.

Job description:

Responsibility — Electrical Design, 35%

• Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
• Perform field work inspecting plant conditions verifying existing plant conditions
• Routing tray, conduit or cable o layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources
• Preliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controls
• Perform engineering calculations as required
• Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible
• Check design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Design loop sheets, elementaries, system architecture, and other wiring diagrams
• Make recommendations based on Arc Flash studies
  
  

Responsibility — Project Management 50% / Business Development 15%

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
• Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers
• Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and services
• Write client's scope document
• Develop bid packages, lead bid meetings and evaluate bids
• Write material requests and contract requisitions
• Manage procurement and construction activities
• Coordinate project safety, timing, and other issues
• Lead checkout and startup activities
• Control documents generated during the course of the project.
• Issue documents to client for permanent storage.
• Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
• Review project scopes for inclusion of reliability expectations as defined by client.
• When an opportunity occurs, work with the client to determine the scope.
  
  

Required:

• Engineering Degree
• PE License
• CAD Proficiency
• Minimum 5 Years experience of doing Electrical Process & Instrumentation Diagrams for industrial projects
• Experience with Loop sheets, wiring diagrams, flow meters, controls symbols.
  
  

Preferred:

• Pulp & Paper Industry experience is a PLUS but not required.
