Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to play a critical role in wiring, installing, troubleshooting, and testing instruments and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) at various job sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems according to the project's diagrams and schematics.Key Responsibilities : Wiring & Installation : Work from diagrams and schematics to wire instruments and prepare sites for automation system design and programming.Conduit Installation : Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit (including EMT and Rigid).Tubing Installation : Install stainless steel pneumatic tubing and other required tubing for instruments.Wiring & Labeling : Pull wiring through conduit, label appropriately, and connect wiring to controllers and instruments.Testing & Troubleshooting : Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety using ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and / or multimeters.Mounting & Adjustments : Mount instruments and PLCs in panels using various hand tools, and observe the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, or identify the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.Travel : Travel may be required depending on the project location.Required Qualifications : 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman ElectricianPrevious experience with tools and equipment such as Sawzall, drills, and other power toolsPrevious experience running conduit such as EMT and Rigid, including the use of conduit bendersPrevious experience with installing enclosuresJourneyman’s license in TexasPreferred Qualifications : Experience with installing stainless steel pneumatic tubing and cable traysExperience with electrical terminationsExperience with material and manpower takeoffsLocation : Houston, TXJob Type : Direct HireHours & Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PMPay Range : $28 / hr. - $38 / hr.
