Structural Engineer (Civil)

Needed immediately : Selectek is looking for a Structural Engineer in Alpharetta, GA.ÂRequired : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering5-7 (or more) years of relevant experience in heavy industrial structural design, preferably in a consulting environmentEIT status or registered as a Professional EngineerExcellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environmentTechnical competence and strong attention to detailProven leadership and mentoring abilityKnowledge of U.S. steel design codes, familiarity with Canadian codes desirableExperience in design of structures with seismic demand.Experience in design of shallow and deep foundations for buildings, industrial structures and heavy equipment.Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry and Chemical Manufacturing preferredRISA 3D experience is a plusJob Details : The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in preliminary and detailed design of heavy industrial structures including concrete foundations, steel structures, and buildings. Duties will include estimating project costs, complex analysis and calculations, reviewing designs and drawings along with specifications. The Engineer will be performing structural assessments / inspections, and preparing reports / proposals / contract documentation. This person will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of other engineers and team members to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets.ÂPay Range :  $60 / hour - $72 / hour ($120,000 - $150,000 annual salary)Term of assignment :  6 months contract to hire or possibly direct if needed (depends on candidate)Location of job : Alpharetta, GAHours & Shift : Typical week is Monday - Thursday, 9-hour days; Friday – 4 hours (remote on Friday). Flexible with the hours, core hours are 7 : 00am - 6 : 00pmWork from home : yes, must come in a few weeks to get acquainted then startWorking remote : Yes, but needs to be in ATL vicinity to come in for meetings when / if neededPlease contact Lizzie Johns at 470-203-0754 or Ljohns@selectek.net for more information.
