Structural Engineer - Telecom Industry

Selectek is looking for a Structural Engineer (Telecom) to be responsible for the design and structural analysis of new or existing communication structures for wireless telecommunication sites (towers, buildings, foundations, rooftops, etc.). The Structural Engineer will also be responsible for the design of custom solutions for support of telecommunications equipment - i.e. elevated steel platforms, antenna mounting frames, etc.Required : 3 - 5 years of related experienceBS or MS in an engineering discipline (civil or structural); (PE Certificate preferred)Ability to travel when as neededValid driver’s licenseProficient with Microsoft OfficeFunctional to proficient with AutoCADKnowledge of ASD & LRFD, TIA-G and TIA-H codeExperience with RISA, TnxTower, OCALC and ENERCALExperience in the design of wireless telecommunication sites to include collocations on existing tower sites, water tanks, rooftops and raw land sites is preferredMust be able to work for any U.S. Employer without current or future visa sponsorshipJob Responsibilities : Reviews tower, water tank, rooftop and foundation structuresAnalyzes tower, water tank, rooftop and foundation structures using hand-calculations, tower analysis software (RISA 3D and TNX Tower) and other accepted engineering methodsConforms design to local jurisdictional requirements for land use and permittingDesigns reinforcing and extension solutionsCoordinates and manages timelines and milestonesCoordinates with other engineers / designers, drafters, site acquisition and construction personnel in a team environmentModifies and / or refines details during project to improve designPerforms site visits as needed to document field conditions for new sites and site modification projectsEnsures accurate project status reportingResponsibilities will also include project planning and some client contactSponsorship :  NoPay Range :  $38.46 / hour - $43.27 / hour  ($80,000 - $90,000 annual salary)Term of assignment :  6 months temp (long term contract)Pay Method when Direct :  HourlyLocation of Job :  RemoteHours & Shift :  Monday - Friday; 8AM – 5PM; flex on hours (open to starting as early as 6 : 30AM)WFH :  YesRemote :  Yes – preference is to be in CST or ESTOvertime :  Not much expectedTravel :  NoDoes the client require a background check and drug screen?
