Position : Water Resource Project EngineerLocation : Fairfax, VASalary Range : $104k-$110kRelocation consideredwendyc@selectek.comJob Description : ÂDevelop and deliver stormwater management strategies for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelinesConduct drainage design activities, including the analysis of existing drainage systems, designing new drainage systems and ditches, and creating appropriate plansUtilize hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS to model major bridge and culvert crossingsEmploy software tools such as Pipesoft, Culvertsoft, to design and analyze pipe networks and culvertsPrepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations related to drainage design and stormwater management, contributing to the project deliverables and progress reportingÂPrepare permit sketches, construction documents, specifications and cost estimates as neededPerform scour analysisÂPerform field investigations to collect data, take field measurements, photographs, sketches, and verifying surveysRequired : Minimum of Five (5) years of experience as a Civil Engineer supporting transportation projectsProfessional Engineer (P.E.) License or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hireBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related fieldÂAdvanced knowledge of drainage design, H&H modeling and stormwater managementProficient with industry software : MicroStation, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil3d, InletSoft, PipeSoft, CulvertSoftÂExcellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teamsÂAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyPreferred : Master’s degree in Civil EngineeringExperience with OpenRoads DesignerExperience supporting VDOT and other local Virginia agenciesÂPlease submit resume for immediate consideration : wendyc@selectek.comÂ
