Position Overview

We are recruiting for a local, sustainable Corvallis employer looking for a hard worker to join a growing team as a Temporary Maintenance Helper. This position will be based in a manufacturing environment, providing essential assistance in the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Helper will support a range of tasks, including troubleshooting and assisting with repairs of industrial production equiptment, inventory management, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties

• Assist with repairs and troubleshooting of machinery, motors, conveyor systems, and other production equipment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including sweeping, cleaning machinery, and removing debris.
• Support the setup, handling, and maintenance of tools and machinery.
• Assist with inventory management of parts, supplies, and materials.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance, such as lubricating machines and replacing filters.
• Provide support to maintenance technicians during complex repair tasks.
• Track and report maintenance activities, and assist with maintaining records of repairs and equipment status.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe equipment operation.
• Assist with lifting and moving heavy materials, as well as basic electrical or mechanical tasks under guidance.
• Be available for overtime, after-hours call-ins, and weekend work as required to minimize operational downtime.
• Adhere to all company and regulatory agency safety and environmental rules, including forklift safety and lockout / tagout procedures.

Wage : $20 per hour, based on certifications and experience

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm, with some Saturdays as needed
