The Production Relief Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the achievement of departmental goals, including production volume, quality, safety, and cost management. This position involves providing leadership and support to employees, overseeing daily production activities, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The supervisor is also responsible for training and performance management, fostering a positive work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Supervise daily production operations to meet business objectives for output, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to employees while ensuring compliance with production schedules and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, time tracking, safety reports, and employee performance.
- Investigate and report non-compliance issues or safety incidents, and lead corrective actions.
- Monitor employee morale and address concerns to maintain a productive workplace.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are up to date and accurately followed.
- Oversee safety programs, including accident investigations and safety compliance.
- Manage employee onboarding, training, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure proper inventory control and manage variances in packaging and processing supplies.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize safety, processes, performance, and costs.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Proven ability to evaluate employee performance and enforce company policies.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in dairy or food manufacturing industries.
- Experience with pallet jacks, fork lifts, and production equipment.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
