Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our home based medical staff. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the client in the home. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for this client with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and Rigorous Rehabilitation therapy requirements. Your commitment to patient service and ability to work collaboratively with staff and healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
- Physical stamina to lift the patient and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
- Picking this position up as a second job is not recommended.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming,transfers and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by staff.
- Support patients with rehabilitation exercises and physical therapy as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.(Must be a Non-Smoker for clients health condition.)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to patient care and emergency medicine.
- Lift and transfer patients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Adhere to HIPPA regulations to protect clients rights
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Experience in hospital medicine or assisted living environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a staff-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina to lift patients and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
- Confidentiality and adhering to HIPPA regulations.

Pay: $22.10 - $22.20 per hour
