Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care for senior (male) stroke survivor
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring and meal preparation
- Assist with daily mobility exercises and stretching
- Provide companionship
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments, community outings, and other activities as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals in your care
- Must be a non-smoker
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with seniors
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices for providing quality care to seniors
- Familiarity with individuals who have suffered a stroke
- Preferred CPR and first-aid training
- Preferred PSS or CNA training
