We are looking for a Data Platform Manager to oversee and champion the onboarding, training, and development of staff and CaseWorthy users at Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI), focusing on the effective use of CaseWorthy and other data collection applications. This role will be responsible for conducting regular check-ins with new staff, developing tailored training plans, and creating continuous learning opportunities. As SEI transitions to CaseWorthy, this position will play a critical role in supporting the rollout, data collection, and reporting processes, with the ultimate goal of full adoption of the CaseWorthy CRM system. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be a consummate team player and a commitment to supporting staff in maximizing the potential of this platform.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the agency's data platform, including databases and data warehouses, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Develop and enforce comprehensive data governance policies to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable analytical support to enhance program effectiveness.
Lead and coordinate data collection efforts, ensuring the timely and accurate gathering of data from multiple sources.
Analyze complex datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Design, manage, and optimize dashboards and reporting tools to effectively communicate data insights to key stakeholders.
Provide training and mentorship to staff on best practices, tools, and technologies related to data management and analysis.
Provide technical support and training to agency staff and program participants.
Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and methodologies, offering recommendations for platform upgrades and improvements.
Ensure thorough documentation of data processes, tools, and methodologies to facilitate smooth operations.
Engage with community stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their data needs, integrating their input into data initiatives.
Perform regular CaseWorthy maintenance to ensure accurate and effective system usage.
Partner with program teams to establish data offboarding procedures and ensure efficient data storage and management practices.
Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that all stakeholders' needs are met with professionalism and responsiveness.
This role requires active presence in program spaces during programming and events, ensuring close alignment across the agency and firsthand involvement in the delivery of services and activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
5 years of experience in data management, data analytics, or a related role, preferably in the non-profit or community-focused sector.
Experience with Excel formulas, pivot tables and charts.
Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, CaseWorthy, Python, R) and experience with cloud-based data solutions.
Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about data and its implications for social impact.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice and the empowerment of the African American community.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Lived experience with low income and/or African American communities.
