Assessment (HEA) Coordinator will play a key role in the delivery of the Energy Trust of Oregon Residential Program. This position will be responsible for promoting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives in underserved communities in Multnomah County. The HEA Coordinator will oversee a variety of tasks aimed at raising awareness, providing education, and facilitating energy-saving opportunities, in alignment with the Program’s goals. This includes managing Home Energy Assessments, ensuring high-quality energy-saving installations, and fostering strategic community partnerships to maximize resources and funding opportunities. The role will involve community outreach, direct support to residents, and program coordination to facilitate energy efficiency improvements. This is a limited duration position through December 2025 with potential to be extended.
PRIMARY Job responsibilities
- In partnership with Energy Program Manager develop and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap to align with community needs assessments, resource planning, and contract milestones.
- Ensure milestones are met and activities are carried out according to program goals and timelines.
- Conduct targeted outreach to engage and build awareness about home energy efficiency and savings within local communities.
- Create and distribute educational materials tailored to the needs of underserved communities, including guides and resources on energy efficiency.
- Provide direct support to residents in determining eligibility for Community Partner Funding (CPF).
- Conduct HEAs in residential homes to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
- Provide clear recommendations on energy-saving measures and assist residents in understanding the potential savings and benefits.
- Coordinate the installation of energy-saving measures, ensuring that all installations meet Energy Trust specifications.
- Monitor the process to ensure that energy-saving measures are installed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Engage with other SEI programs and community residents to explore potential workforce roles related to CPF projects.
Qualifications
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and complete extensive paperwork.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly desired. Significant training plus three (3) years’ work experience in a green workforce environment may be substituted for education requirement.

- Must have effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact with people of varying social, economic and education levels.

- Excellent writing skills to include proper grammar, case note writing/formatting, proofreading and editing.
- Must have a valid Oregon driver's license and be insurable under SEI’s auto coverage.
