Description

Resource Development Associate

 

The Resource Development Associate is a key member of the development team at Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI). This individual is responsible for planning, drafting, and submitting compelling proposals and sponsorship packages. They will conduct prospect research and cultivate relationships with sponsors and partners, contributing to the organization's fundraising efforts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Grant Applications:
    • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with SEI's programs and strategic goals.
    • Develop and write compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
    • Ensure timely submission of grant applications and track application status.
    • Manage grant reporting requirements and maintain accurate records of grant activities.
  • Sponsorship & Funding Requests:
    • Create persuasive sponsorship proposals and funding requests tailored to potential donors and corporate partners.
    • Develop sponsorship packages that offer tangible benefits and align with sponsor objectives.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective sponsors and donors.
    • Create one pagers and proposal documents.
  • Communications & Marketing Integration:
    • Craft compelling narratives that highlight SEI's impact and mission, for use in grant proposals, sponsorship requests, and marketing materials.
    • Assist with communication strategies to support fundraising efforts.
    • Collaborate to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all fundraising materials.
    • Use Canva or other related programs to create visually compelling documents.

 

 

  • Prospect Research & Strategy:
    • Conduct thorough research to identify potential funders, including corporate sponsors.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective funders and track engagement activities.
    • Analyze funding trends and develop strategies to maximize fundraising opportunities.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, sponsorship agreements, and donor interactions in a CRM database (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT).
    • Ensure compliance with funder reporting requirements and internal policies.
  • Other Duties:
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in researching and identifying funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships.
  • Experience creating sponsorship one pagers, and proposal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on storytelling.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in design platforms like Canva to create visually engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Experience using CRM databases (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary : $67,000 - $78,000
