What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician II Certified, Edgefield County Hospital Pharmacy position at Self Regional Healthcare Partners?
Under the supervision of a Pharmacist: responsible for drug distribution services, order processing functions, the preparation of pharmaceutical doses, clerical functions, monthly unit floor inspections and departmental section checks to maintain adequate inventory levels of in-date pharmaceuticals on nursing units and the pharmacy department. Must also maintain the required professional and hospital competencies for a State Certified Pharmacy Technician and assist with performance improvement activities, as well as performing any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management.
Must be at minimum registered as a pharmacy technician through the South Carolina Board of pharmacy. Preferred to be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), and registered in good standing as a "State Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy, (This requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004). If registered and not yet certified, certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
