What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Professional Counselor, Western Carolina Psychiatric Associates, Full Time position at Self Regional?
Provides therapeutic counseling to patients and family members/families. Completes needs assessment based on clinical input from the primary care provider, psychiatrists, and others familiar with patient. Develops plan for intervention/care/assistance. Conducts group therapy sessions as deemed appropriate to population. Makes appropriate referrals to other community resources when needed. Makes contacts with patients and family as needed and documents these contacts. Performs telephone triage for patients in crisis, answers all IN Baskets messages and when necessary sees patient for immediate intervention. Uses EPIC electronic medical record system proficiently as primary source of documentation of all patient visits and correspondence.
• Master's degree in mental health counseling or other related field
• Independent licensure (i.e., Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
