What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Med Tech II, Full Time, 1st Shift, 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday position at Self Regional?
Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures on all patients. Receive and document radiopharmaceuticals in computer system for regulatory compliance. Perform nuclear imaging based on standard protocols approved by Medical Director. Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies utilizing various radioisotope equipment. Perform blood volumes studies following standard lab technique. Dispose radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals per regulatory requirements. Practice radiation safety at all times. Performs quality control procedures on all equipment and locations. Performs all other duties as assigned by Nuclear Medicine Supervisor.
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the ARRT and/or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technogist with the NMTCB. SCRQSA Certification required. Must meet continuing education requirements. BLS required. ACLS within 6 months of hire.
