What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse, Cardio Lab, Full Time, Day Shift position at Self Regional?
Performs cardiology procedures, required documentation, and other assigned duties according to established policy and procedure to include: Stress Testing, HUT testing, Holter and Event monitors, routine Cardiology procedures (EKGs, rhythm strips, SA EKG, Ambulatory Blood Pressure) and Heart Failure Clinic. Confirms patient identification by 2 patient identifiers. Ensures required documentation of ordered procedure. Performs patient assessment prior, during and post procedure with documentation. Ensures and documents medication administration. Demonstrates competency in arrythmia recognition. Documents in accordance with the medical plan of care, editing and charging Cardio Lab procedures including physician interpretation fees. Communicates findings as necessary to appropriate provider and caregiver. Seeks opportunities for continuing education in Cardiology procedures. Performs other duties as directed by the department director.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina. BLS required. ACLS within 6 months of hire.
