What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Operations Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy Services, Full Time, Day Shift position at Self Regional?
Establishes, evaluates, and modifies performance improvement for the pharmacy services. Responsible for national reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication error reporting programs. Provides drug information and training to medical staff and team members as needed. Responsible for assuring accurate controlled substance inventory and documentation. Manages accounts to remain within budget or justifies variances in a prompt manner. Actively participates in budget preparation and takes accountability for outpatient pharmacy operations within budget. Writes, educates, and assures compliance with policies, procedures, safety, environmental control, and infection prevention. Manages the work of pharmacists and support team members to include scheduling, training, competency, and performance appraisal. Assists in the hiring process for new pharmacy team members. Responsibility includes maintaining regulatory standards for the department. Stewards financial resources by working with manufacturers and wholesalers to find the most cost-effective items. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in associations, educational programs, current literature, and workshops. Performs any other job related duties as assigned.
Special Qualifications: Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy, licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in South Carolina, Doctor of Pharmacy preferred, leadership experience preferred.
