Location: Saginaw, MI
Pay: $15.85/per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Summary: The Yard Receiver is responsible for assembling store orders, processing, checking, verifying and inventorying materials received and shipped. The Yard Receiver coordinates materials and finished goods, storage and inventory levels with the production personnel. They move these materials and finish goods to appropriate storage areas by using a fork truck. The Yard Receiver always ensures that shipping and receiving functions are completed in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Process materials that are received and move the materials to storage areas to restock shelves in a timely manner in accordance with schedules.
- Identify any shipping errors or discrepancies
- Report and damaged or missing goods to warehouse manager
- Operate company forklift and report any maintenance issues or concerns
- Ensures that all work areas and storage areas are clean, shoppable and well maintained
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of two or more years of experience with a Hi-Lo
- Knowledge of the lumber/hardware industry is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and similar procedures
- Good organizational, quality control and communication skills
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift upwards of 10lbs. constantly, 20lbs frequently and/or up to 50lbs. occasionally
- Mostly Outdoor Receiving. Can be in inclement weather at times
- Repetitive motion constantly including, stooping, reaching, lifting and walking.
