Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health services including counseling / therapy and substance abuse referrals, clinical programming, interacting with clients as well as implement new programs and in-services as needed
- ACD will also provide mental health assessment, short-term and some long-term behavioral, and mental health counseling services to young and older adults (including families) with mental / behavioral health challenges.
- Pursue curation and expansion of existing programs and development of new programs, including diversification of sustainable funding sources
- Work collaboratively with other Public Health Initiatives Programs in the development and implementation of programs that reflect the mission
- Manages and develops internal staff productivity targets.
- Ensure that all clinical reports, internal and external, are completed as necessary
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with human services and government agencies, health service vendors and private organizations to enhance service delivery and agency image
- Interprets the functions of the agency to the community through direct involvement with public, civic or private groups.
- Seeks growth opportunities for the agency in the provision of behavioral health care and other social services
- Ability to be on call 24 hours during your assigned rotation (Mobile Crisis Intervention Team)
- Provides ongoing and supportive supervision to assigned staff as evidenced through development and implementation of measurable and attainable goals and accountability standards.
- Maintains professional licensure.
- Ability to perform duties both on and off-site, and via telehealth.

- Assisting in managing all aspects of hiring, workload, performance criteria, personnel management, and goal setting for clinical teams. The teams consisting of case managers, behavioral health technicians, reentry specialists, violence prevention teams, and mobile crisis intervention teams.
- Focusing on the development of staff by working collaboratively to create and expand upon current goals.
- Participating in client meetings and providing clinical and absence management to both clients on and off-site.
- Working closely with Community Engagement and Administration Directors to develop reliable reporting methods. This will include productivity measures and the analyzation of medical / behavioral health claim data.
- Performing monthly sessions with staff to assess and address any concerns in reference to training and development
- Creating and developing clinical training, products, resources, forms, and best practices. This is included, but not limited to onboarding clinical team new hires, establishing clinical documentation protocol, and implementing critical thinking and claim analysis standards.
- Provide direction and leadership to Directors to ensure efficient and effective agency operations and to ensure that quality services are provided and maintained throughout all areas of operation within Self Theory
- Assess performance by monitoring the quality and quantity of the job behaviors both in the office and in the communities in which we service.
- Perform annual Performance evaluation
- Actively incorporate how the billing and coding processes are associated with services rendered
- Maintain current knowledge of Self Theory’s policies and procedures
- Support compliance within the teams and staff overseen
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Psychologist and Senior Leadership
Required Skills / Abilities
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :
LCPC or LCSW is REQUIRED . Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
