What You'll Do
As our first dedicated QA Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our fast-evolving web application. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to identify issues early, streamline testing, and help deliver a seamless experience to our users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bug Triage & Tracking: Monitor, document, and prioritize bugs and user-reported issues across environments.
- Test Automation Ownership: Manage and expand our Octomind end-to-end (E2E) testing suite to ensure product stability.
- Release Readiness: Collaborate with developers to validate features before they reach customers, including regression testing.
- Client-Facing Coordination: Work with customer success and support teams to communicate fixes and updates clearly and promptly.
- Process Improvement: Help define and refine QA processes, advocating for quality at every step of the development cycle.
What We're Looking For
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: You notice the little things, and you’re not afraid to dig deep to find the root of a bug.
- Strong Communicator: Comfortable writing clear bug reports, test cases, and coordinating across teams.
- Automation Experience: Familiar with E2E testing frameworks (Octomind, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and comfortable managing test suites.
- Collaborative Mindset: You work well with engineers, product managers, and client-facing teams to ensure smooth releases.
- Bias for Action: You take initiative, prioritize well, and get things done without waiting to be asked.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or AI product environment
- Understanding of Full-Stack software development
- Familiarity with tools like issue tracking systems
