Your Mission
Keep our CEO focused on high-impact work by handling logistics, communication, and operational tasks—while also creating culture-building events that strengthen our team and brand.
What You’ll Do
Executive Assistant
You’ll be the right hand to our CEO, Chandler, helping him stay focused on what matters most.
- Manage Chandler’s calendar, inbox, travel, and meetings
- Prioritize tasks and filter communication to keep him in flow
- Handle personal errands and basic home management tasks
- Oversee office supplies, vendor coordination, and internal ops
- Track and optimize budgets for travel, operations, and events
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Support PR efforts to build Chandler’s and the company’s brand in Austin (e.g., awards, media features, “Fastest Growing Company” lists)
Event Planner
You’ll take the lead on planning and running unforgettable events that build connection, culture, and visibility.
- Plan and execute company retreats, off-sites, and team events
- Organize Texas-based events (conferences, recruiting, trainings, community service)
- Host team gatherings and networking events at Chandler’s home
- Help establish SelfPublishing.com as one of Austin’s top companies and best places to work
- Partner with leadership to amplify team connection, brand recognition, and local community engagement
You Might Be the One If You Have:
✅ 3–5 years in an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or Event Planning role
✅ Experience supporting C-suite or high-level executives
✅ Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
✅ The ability to juggle multiple tasks while staying calm and focused
✅ An eye for details, logistics, and creating memorable experiences
✅ A proactive, can-do attitude and team-first mindset
✅ Passion for helping people grow in a mission-driven workplace
✨ Bonus Points For:
- Experience in a startup, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment
- Familiarity with budget tracking, vendor management, and home office coordination
- Love for books, learning, and people-focused missions
Tools You’ll Use:

- Basic budgeting tools (Sheets, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Optional: Canva, social media scheduling tools, HubSpot

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Austin, TX.
- Salary Range: $47,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience and skillset)
