OVERVIEW: The Assistant Operations Manager assists the Operations Manager in the leadership and operations over assigned parking account. This position assists in maximizing financial performance, maintaining client relationships and supervising full time and part time employees. The essential job functions are listed below but may include duties which are outside of these job functions which are required to meet the need of the organization.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers plan programs and projects that adhere to approved budgets and schedules, and oversees their implementation.
- Monitor timekeeping and schedules on a consistent basis.
- Responsible for ensuring proper coverage for all shift callouts, tardiness, etc.
- Monitors payroll checking that all time off requests are approved/denied and timecards are approved.
- Monitor revenue control measures to ensure performance to budget.
- Implements policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for service improvements to Operations Manager, establishes required service levels and anticipates labor requirements.
- Assists with all weekly and monthly reports to ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate as needed with hotel team regarding occupancy levels, special events, and anything that would fluctuate the staffing needs.
- Interact directly with clients to maintain client relationships.
- Monitor handling of customer concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work in improving operational standards to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Provides supervision and oversight to the team members whose responsibilities include assisting with the daily operations of the parking area, assisting customers, responding to parking issues, and assisting with hiring, training and evaluating staff.
- Monitor supply and inventory, anticipate needs for ordering for operational needs.
- Promotes safety to ensure that the unit follows policies and procedures. Maintains audit controls within the unit; minimize claims and report immediately.
- Ensure work area, including office, parking lot, and driveway are clean free of debris and obstruction.
- Must assist sister properties as requested.
- Ensure that all Federal and State employment laws are adhered too
- Must attend all Company special functions in addition to hotel meetings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has supervisory responsibilities which includes the training and performance evaluation of employees. This position works in coordination with Operations Managers and Human Resources on all employment issues.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in management or related field preferred but not required; one to two years Parking experience; plus a minimum two years Supervisory experience in a related field.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (manual transmission experience a must)
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Basic typing and word processing skills
- Computer programs i.e. Excel, Windows
