Description
The Parking Ambassador Operations Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the parking ambassador team, ensuring excellent customer service, enforcement of parking regulations, and efficient use of parking resources. The Parking Ambassador Operations supervisor ensures the safe and efficient parking operations, while delivering exceptional service that exceeds our customer/client’s expectations. This role involves staff supervision, field operations, training, and coordination with other departments to maintain a safe and accessible parking environment.
The Operations Supervisor must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The Operations Supervisor will report to The Director of Parking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the supervision of location staff: delegating, coaching/developing, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all company standards.
- Train new employees; collaborate with The Director of parking on the onboarding plan for new employees to ensure success.
- Act as the point of contact to client or; attend location meetings as appropriate and respond to client requests in order to develop and maintain a good working relationship.
- Assist the Director of Parking with payroll ensuring all staff clock in/out properly and assisting to correct incorrect or missed punches in PAYCOM.
- Monitor maintenance of the driveway and associated premises to ensure that the driveway and offices are safe and maintained to standards; supervise on-going maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports as required.
- Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of frontline staff.
- Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location.
- Supervise and support parking ambassadors in their daily duties, including enforcement, customer service, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate reports related to citations, incidents, equipment usage, and customer interactions.
- Serve as a liaison between ambassadors and upper management, providing regular updates and feedback.
- Ensure all staff follow safety guidelines and protocols, particularly in high-traffic or hazardous areas.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in parking operations, security, transportation, or related field.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Proficient with handheld enforcement devices, reporting systems, and basic computer applications.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines/high customer expectations.
- Knowledge general Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must have the ability to drive standard and automatic manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and temperature changes
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
