Sellers & Associates, Inc., a Professional Engineering, Land Surveying, and Grant Management Firm, is seeking a motivated Construction Manager who will manage the construction projects administered through our firm and act as a liaison between the project engineer, inspector, and contractor. The successful candidate must have good communication and organizational skills, be capable of working in a team environment, and be proficient in Excel and Word. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. Sellers & Associates, Inc. provides consulting services for a wide range of projects including water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, solid waste facilities, streets and bridges, drainage, and coastal restoration.
- Liaison between project engineer, inspector, and contractor during construction phase of project
- Understanding of final plans and specifications
- Be available to travel to job site in the event issues arise
- Conduct Pre-Construction Conference with selected contractor, S&A inspector assigned to the project, Project Engineer and Client
- Coordination of the Notice to Proceed date with contractor and relay information to Construction Contract Coordinator
- Negotiate change order details involving quantity increase/decrease and additional contract days
- Review monthly quantities with inspector and provide number to Construction Contract Coordinator to prepare monthly partial payment estimate (PPE)
- Review punch list with inspector and prepare valued list for Construction Contract Coordinator
- When lien period expires, verify with inspector that all punch list items have been completed and the Clear Lien Certificate has been provided by the contractor for the release of retainage
- Track and coordinate One-Year Warranty inspection
- Communicate with contractor and owner for all construction related information
- Monthly monitoring of inspection budget and expenditures
