The Program/Project Manager III is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale, complex programs and projects. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive project management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate and resolve challenges efficiently. You will be instrumental in ensuring project success, driving strategic initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex programs and projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and deliverables to stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project managers and team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Extensive experience in managing complex programs and projects.
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to the organization's focus (e.g., IT, healthcare, engineering).
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise-level software systems and tools.
- Additional project management certifications (e.g., PgMP, Prince2).
