Job Description

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and solve computer problems, and assure technology meets the needs of the organization.
• Implement system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes.
• Plan and design new computer systems and devise ways to apply existing systems resources to additional operations.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
• Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
• Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system.
• Conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs.
• Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
• Upgrade system and correct errors to maintain system after implementation.
• May assist computer programmer in resolution of work problems related to flowcharts, project specifications, or programming.
• May prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
• May direct and coordinate work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs.
• May design new systems, including both hardware and software, or add new software applications to harness more of computer's power.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent

Requires at least one of the following certifications:

• FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP or CCNP Security or CCSP or CISSP

Required Years of Relevant Experience:

• 3 years professional experience in Systems Administration

Minimum Security Clearance Required:

• Secret

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
