Under the direct supervision of the Elementary School Principal, a Dual Immersion Teacher promotes the classroom, school, and District goals of bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural diversity; assesses the instructional level of students; instructs students in State and/or District mandated subject areas in English and the target language in accordance with the Dual Immersion Model adopted by the District; evaluates students and the instructional program; continues his/her own professional learning; participates in school activities; and performs related work as required.
