Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal, assists a certificated teacher and other certificated personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students with a range of physical, emotional, intellectual, and / or communication disabilities in a Special Day classroom (SDC) or other learning environment; assists with the establishment and maintenance of appropriate classroom and site behavior; assists in the preparation of instructional materials, lesson plans, and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs); assists students with performing and developing academic, social, behavioral, personal hygiene and self-help skills; and performs routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.
