Aerospace Manufacturing Expert
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to drive quality forward in the aerospace industry. As a world-class supplier of titanium components and castings, we have multiple facilities in Albany, OR.
The ideal candidate will have responsibility for managing customer relationships, working with Engineering to review and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), participating in investigations and dispositions of customer complaints and returns, and achieving certification for customers' source inspection as necessary.
This role involves working on various continual improvement projects and may involve training/coaching. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and 6 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or comparable quality discipline is required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic network usage is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain configuration control documentation through contract review and blueprint/specification control
- Manage multiple customer accounts, including OEMs and sub-tiers
- Work with Engineering to review and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Participate in investigations and dispositions of customer complaints and returns
- Achieve certification for customers' source inspection as necessary
- Work on various continual improvement projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 6 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or comparable quality discipline
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic network usage
Estimated Salary: $135,000 per year
