Handy Man

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 1099 Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, enabling them to perform various maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. This role is essential for ensuring that our properties remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and functional environment for all. This is a 1099 contractor position for someone looking for extra work to fill in their schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
• Conduct random routine inspections to identify issues or areas needing attention.
• Utilize vendors, tools and equipment effectively to complete tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff or management.
• Ensure all contract work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Assist with special projects as needed, collaborating with other contractor teams.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
• Familiarity with basic electrical systems; experience using an Ohmmeter is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week

• Monday to Friday

• Dallas-Fort Worth, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
