Overview
We are hiring a full-time associate to work in our Independent Pharmacy weekdays between 830am-6pm (8 hour shift) and one Saturday per month 9am-1pm. Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. Hourly salary will be based upon level of experience. We are looking for a full-time person to learn our point of sale and pharmacy systems. We need a reliable and punctual individual who has great people and telephone skills. The right individual will be a self-starter with a positive attitude who prides themselves in doing quality work as our customers depend on us. We can train you to work in our systems. Computer experience is helpful. We offer a variety of services to our customers and specialize in outstanding customer service. Applicants will be expected to take prescription refills over the phone, run the register, count medications, bill prescription insurance claims, and reorder medications and over the counter products. Any individuals who have experience in durable medical equipment billing will be given special consideration also.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, and acute care settings is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
