Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician at Crown Mechanical, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work on a variety of commercial and residential systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (including furnaces, air conditioners, ventilation units, and thermostats) in both residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues to determine the cause of problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork, and ensuring system efficiency.
- Perform system inspections to ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to explain the nature of repairs or installations and provide clear estimates of service costs.
- Respond to emergency service calls and work efficiently to resolve HVAC issues.
- Maintain accurate records of service work, including completed jobs, parts used, and any follow-up actions required.
- Provide customers with advice on energy-saving options and general system care.
- Stay up to date with the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician with a focus on both residential and commercial systems.
· Must have experience working on all restaurant & service industry equipment such as Ice machines, walk-in coolers & freezers, dishwashers, draught beverage systems, ovens & fryers
- Valid HVAC license or certification, as required by local regulations.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work with a variety of HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information to customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call or overtime, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in tight spaces, on ladders, and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
