What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of I.T. position at Semblex?
Responsibilities
- Responsible for support of the Semblex core business systems (i.e. ERP, databases, etc.).
- Responsible for planning, budgeting and tracking of capital investments related to IT technology and systems.
- Responsible for the identification, assessment, planning and implementation of the organization’s current and future technology needs.
- Plan, lead, coordinate and execute information technology implementations. Manage and oversee proposals, projects and related budgets on I.T. related contractors/consultants.
- Oversee and manage cybersecurity strategy, systems, and operation to protect the organization and operations against network vulnerabilities and threats.
- Provide support to all departments with annual planning activities (i.e. standard cost rolls, royalty reporting, sales forecasts, budget planning, etc.) as outlined by I.T. Director.
- Participate in annual strategic planning activities and annual business planning process.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, career development plans, and team objectives for the I.T. staff.
- Provide I.T support for IATF audit, TISAX label certification and customer specific requirements as it pertains to I.T.
- Act as back-up support for I.T team members as it relates to enterprise systems, EDI, ERP, network and infrastructure issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- 10 years in an information technology support function
- Technical communication, EDI experience, network experience, helpdesk experience, command of Microsoft products, knowledge of IBM midrange systems, knowledge of ERP systems.
Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- Epicor/CMS and/or PLEX (ERP experience)
- Experience with developing and monitoring department budget, general business acumen.
- Manufacturing and automotive industry experience.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Manage up to four direct reports
Physical Requirements:
- Physical requirements include: Lifting up to 20 pounds on occasion to handle computer hardware. May include kneeling, twisting, and maneuvering into difficult areas for purpose of hardware re-alignment or repair.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a typical office environment 95% of the time.
- May require some weekend and evening work.
