Data Center and Critical Systems Product Manager

The role is responsible for leading the product strategy for the SEMCO products related data center cooling systems and mission critical HVAC systems. Key performance indicators will be sales growth of data center product, strong contribution margins and a robust pipeline of new business opportunities

Key Performance Indicators

• New programs award and order intake rates.
• Clearly defined product strategy and unique selling point positioning.
• Cost/pricing development and financial planning for data center and critical system products.
• Sales growth of data center and critical system products.
• Maintain key contribution margin targets.

Key Performance Indicators Outputs

Build and drive a clear and cohesive product strategy

• Translate key customer needs and market trends into clear product requirements.
• Build a clear, actionable technology roadmap for data center cooling mission critical HVAC solutions.
• Communicate product progress of the product strategy to management.
• Identify core product capabilities that can be utilized to grow sales in novel ways.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of standard components and configurations needed to meet common requirements in the market.

Effective management of program requirements

• Determine product requirement processes for the for key projects.
• Manage key elements of proposals for projects, ensure deliverables are complete and timely.
• Engage with engineering and manufacturing to understand and complete program proposals.
• Develop robust cost analysis for potential programs to understand pricing and ROI.
• Work closely with engineering to provide application information and context for product requirements.
• Provide final sign-off on product specifications.
• Prioritize product features and capabilities.
• Track project milestones, provide escalation if need be.

Support organizational and operations activities

• Review program requirements and define needed production footprint.
• Provide existing and new product forecasts for capacity planning.
• Track and benchmark costs of production products to ensure accurate costings.
• Use market information to help drive understanding of competitive cost levels.

Enhance sales activity and drive effective customer engagement for data center products and applications.

• Understand key needs and value drivers of the customers to drive product strategy.
• Act as a subject matter expert for products and capabilities.
• Gather voice of customer on new programs and interpret into actionable intelligence.
• Support sales engagement with key product features, benefits and specifications.

Accurate and timely reporting

• Regular reporting on growth pipeline as it relates to data center systems.
• Provide top level overviews of data center projects and their status and outcomes.

• Able to collect, filter and define key sets of capabilities that allow a success in the data center market.
• Can clearly define the requirements and profitability of products.
• Able to build a clear, purposeful product and platform roadmap based on input from, sales, engineering etc.
• Able to act as a subject matter expert when communicating with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
• Actively drives new program opportunities for their category to ensure deliverables are achieved.
• Clear understanding of development cost, opportunity costs of various data center programs and opportunities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field.
• 5 years relevant experience in commercial HVAC or data center cooling solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
