onsemi ’s Vertical GaN fabrication facility in Syracuse, NY is looking for a MOCVD Engineer / MES to join the team. Our GaN technology enables the next generation of power conversion, accelerating the transition to high efficiency, high power conversion solutions and inspiring new power system architectures which are only possible with vertical GaN.
Responsibilities
- Thin films & metals Engineer’s primary responsibility is to develop and qualify the films, metals & RTA module processes for GaN-on-GaN high power transistors. This Engineer will lead projects focused on etch process capability development, process control, and qualification while sustaining baseline processes to support their colleagues’ projects to deliver the overall program goals.
- This role requires an efficient and effective collaborator with a team-first attitude; this role will interact closely with fab process engineering and process integration teams to deliver, sustain, and improve films & metals attributes for device performance and yield.
- The individual in this role must be self-motivated and hands-on with an ability to contribute independently. The nature of this technical program within onsemi requires this individual to be hard-working and flexible in their support of the program’s objectives.
- An ideal candidate for this role is data-driven and detail-oriented with experience developing thin films, Metals & RTA processes from ideation through to qualification for production.
Qualifications
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $121,500.00-$206,500.00 range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and / or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
