Summary:
Seminet is seeking a new team member to play a leadership role in driving all manufacturing operations for the company’s San Jose production site. This person will be responsible for working with direct reports from all levels to lead the Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Customer Support teams, and work closely with Sales and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Direct employee activity, which can involve hands-on guidance in the factory, to achieve performance goals for each scheduled delivery;
- Maintain and build a team capable of delivering high quality and responsiveness in all daily activities.
- Work with senior leadership by utilizing financial data to drive performance improvements.
- Create excitement and engaging all employees in new business opportunities and strategies.
- Generate programs and standardized practices that deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage direct reports including supervisors and managers from various teams
- Mentor and coach staff members at all levels on-site
- Improve product quality.
- Develop procedures to improve operations.
- Improve scheduling and planning processes including internal and external resources, and facility and capital needs.
- Drive accountability.
- Participate in strategic planning to support business growth and operational efficiency.
The Operations Manager will have the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience, with a Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Manufacturing background required, background in other operations spaces (logistics, procurement, engineering, etc.) are added bonus.
- Semiconductor capital equipment experience is a plus.
- Basic financial knowledge on managing budgets.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean methodologies.
