Team Leader

Supervision of a Solid Waste Management facility (Transfer Station and/or Landfill) with responsibility for all site activity and compliance with all Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) rules and regulations.

**Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description. 

**Additional compensation based on licensure.

Assigns personnel and equipment to meet priorities. Trains new employees.

Maintains accurate records and logs. Supervises activities in strict compliance with FDEP rules.

Performs facility inspections.

Interacts as needed with other County Departments.

Resolves customer complaints in a courteous and timely fashion.

Coordinates with service providers to complete required duties.

Operates heavy equipment/tractor trailer.

Additional Duties:
Performs other related work as required.
 
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
 

High School Diploma and three (3) years experience required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial  Driver's License, Class A.

Completion of Drivers/Equipment Course. Completion of an Operator's Short Course.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the public in a productive manner.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management and subordinate staff.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial  Driver's License, Class A.

Completion of Drivers/Equipment Course. Completion of an Operator's Short Course.
