What are the responsibilities and job description for the EL - Reading Instructional Coach position at SEMINOLE ELEMENTARY?
Position Overview
Work with school faculty and staff, as well as students, parents, and community to plan, implement, and evaluate curriculum. Assist staff with instructional needs through training, modeling and supporting instruction in the classroom using best practices and research based strategies.
Position/Assignment Information: Professional/Certified Elementary Grades 4-5
Desired Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- *Knowledge of subjects and instructional strategies, specifically for PK - 1st grade
*Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
*Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
*Ability to develop and deliver instructional training to adult learners
*Knowledge of curriculum and technology used in instructional settings
Duty Days: 187
Start Date: 08/01/2024
Salary Schedule: SISD salary schedule
Additional Job Information: ESL preferred, but not required
