Assigned campus location may vary and may require travel between campuses.
Faculty Responsibilities Will Include
Option 1: Master’s degree in Emergency Medical Services or closely related field
OR
Option 2: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Emergency Medical Services or closely-related field such as Emergency Management, Health Sciences, Health Services, Public Administration (with related certifications), or other clinically-related master’s degree (i.e. PA or Nursing)

Pay Benefits And Work Schedule
Salary is $54,317 to $79,218 commensurate with related work experience in accordance with the Salary Schedule listed in Article 26 of the .

DESCRIPTION:

Faculty Responsibilities Will Include
- Teaching and supporting student learning
- Teaching and supporting adjunct faculty learning
- Developing lesson plans and curriculum
- Supporting college policies, procedures, and inclusiveness
- Participating in department and college activities and committees
- Attending college wide meetings and trainings at various campuses and locations
- Maintain Paramedic and Instructor certifications
- Plans, organizes, and teaches in-person, hybrid and online classes as assigned.
- Makes use of professional growth opportunities, including but not limited to the Seminole State Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
- Incorporates teaching strategies relevant to academic discipline that foster student learning, success and retention.
- Engages students and supports student learning success in and beyond the classroom.
- Works effectively, respectfully and productively with people from all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Maintains required office hours to provide assistance to students, both individually and in small groups. Counsels students in matters relating to academic progress.
- Works with other faculty and program managers in support of curriculum improvement as appropriate to promote students’ success and mastery of course and program competencies.
- Complies with College policies and procedures in accordance with required deadlines.
- Participates in day, evening, and weekend program staffing as required. Assigned campus location may vary due to enrollment.
- Participates in committee work as requested.

- Works with other College departments to engage community partners that support the College Mission and Vision.
- Performs other relevant responsibilities as requested. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, ordering and maintaining necessary supplies and equipment; participating in discipline related student activities (e.g. Brain Bowl).
- Maintains current knowledge of discipline and teaching methods.

- Current State of Florida Paramedic or State of Florida EMT certification
- At least 4 years of field-level provider experience in the pre-hospital setting
- Meet State of Florida EMS instructor qualifications or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of the learning centered approach to teaching desired.
- Experience utilizing technology and innovative anagogy to deliver exceptional teaching and learning desired.
- Teaching experience.
- A personal and professional commitment to creating an atmosphere of quality instruction at Seminole State College.
