The incumbent in this position is responsible for initiating and coordinating programs or projects involving grant compliance and administration for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Accounting Department. Work involves monitoring and evaluating compliance with the terms of grants, which have operational responsibilities and / or reviewing adherence to established standards. Responsibilities include development of documents, initiating, coordinating, monitoring and / or evaluating all activities of grants; assisting and making recommendations on matters pertaining to grant writing; and evaluation of fiscal management procedures.

The incumbent is expected to initiate, coordinate activities of grants and monitor them with some independence. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration is required. A minimum of three (3) years prior experience in grants accounting and audit procedures or financial management is required. Familiarity with computerized systems is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages and add-ins. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and facilities. The incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
