AP/AP specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the AP/AR processes within the organization. This role involves processing invoices, recording payments and ensuring accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibility
- Process and verify incoming invoices in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices, matching them with purchasing orders where applicable.
- Prepare and process payments, including vendor checks.
- Maintain vendor records and address inquiries regarding payment status.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies,
- Assist in month end closing activities and timely reporting.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and promptly.
- Monitor customer accounts for timely y payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare aging reports and assist in collections efforts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing disputes.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance . Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in AP/AR in construction field preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software(Sage, vista, Spectrum)
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
