Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial data, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and providing insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position requires a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will be working closely with our accounting department as well as our construction project management team.
Duties
- Analysis of Jobs, projects and month end reviews.
- Review and manage Job & Unit Costing on jobs
- Time & Material Billings
- Coordinate Loading of Jobs and Change Orders into Accounting and Field Reporting Software
- AIA and Lien Preparation
- Work with finance team with collections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Cost coding, billing and cost analysis experience required
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or cost accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cash flow analysis and budgeting.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and financial analyses.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
