Responsibilities
- The Pipe Crew Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used in trench excavation and pipe installation
- This role ensures proper handling and placement of drainage and utility pipes on various construction projects, including challenging conditions such as deep trenches
- Operate heavy machinery for trenching and pipe placement
- Perform daily pre- and post-project equipment inspections.
- Assist with manual pipe alignment when required, collaborating with the labor crew
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines
- Navigate and operate equipment safely in tight or challenging conditions
Qualifications:
- Must have experience with trenching and shoring techniques
- Able to identify and address operational challenges locating underground utilities
- Strong teamwork and communications skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
