The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the proper care and sterilization of surgical instruments. This includes maintaining inventory by ordering, monitoring and receiving supplies and equipment for the surgery center.

We are a single specialty ASC with flexibility of staffing, NO call, NO holidays and NO regularly scheduled weekends.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Assemble supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians' preference cards, adhering to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for the procedure
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies for the sterile processing area
- Maintain a clean and orderly centra processing area (e.g., shelves, counters equipment)
- Check equipment indicators for proper functioning
- Perform required biological/chemical monitoring tests on all sterilizers and maintain logs accordingly to establish policy/procedure
- Perform weekly inspections of all sterile items in facility
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies for the overall surgery center
- Responsible for filling in breaks and lunch relief in the operating room (OR)
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of sterile technique program
- One (1) year experience or training in sterile processing environment
Preferred:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Experience working in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment
