Job Summary:
Semper Fi Heating and Cooling is seeking a dedicated and reliable Portable AC Runner to assist customers in need by delivering and setting up portable AC units when their primary HVAC system is down. This position is critical in ensuring customer comfort during peak seasons. The ideal candidate must be physically capable, dependable, and uphold the high standards of Semper Fi Heating and Cooling.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport and deliver portable AC units to customers' homes.
Set up and ensure proper functionality of portable AC units at customer locations.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers.
Handle, lift, and maneuver equipment up to 65 lbs.
Operate company vehicles responsibly and maintain a clean driving record.
Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed during peak seasons (spring and summer).
Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding deliveries and customer needs.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old and have been driving for a minimum of 5 years.
Valid driver?s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 65 lbs. regularly.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and extended driving periods (approximately 50/50 driving and lifting/bending).
Open availability, especially during peak HVAC seasons (spring and summer).
Must pass a background check.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
