PALNG Construction Supervisor

Primary Purpose
Monitors day-to-day construction activities for a specific discipline e.g. civil or piping, provides (drawings, specifications, etc.) to facilitate construction effort, provides construction oversight, and reports status including documentation of daily reports. Supports activities through pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up as required.Construction Supervisor's accountabilities, responsibilities, and work area may be altered from time to time based on the needs of the organization and the project. Seeks guidance from senior construction supervisors.The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports specific discipline level e.g (civil, or pipe/ mechanical or electrical) construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, environmental guidelines, quality control/assurance programs and construction safety programs. Partner with construction managers for day-to-day planning.
• Participate and attend safety briefings and safety walkdowns.
• Contribute and maintains daily activity log and detailed records of construction activities.
• Assists in the monitoring, tracking, and submitting inputs for weekly/monthly construction progress/status reports.
• Assist in the monitoring and reporting receipt of materials on site.
• Assist in providing mark-up as-built Construction/QAQC/HSE documents by the EPC Contractor, as required.
• Assist in providing documentations and reports of observations and findings of non-conformance issues and concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, equivalent technical degree, related field, or equivalent training and/or experience Required Experience
• 5 years of related working experience. Required
• Experience in major construction projects and hands-on multi discipline construction experience in Oil and Gas industry. Preferred
• Experience with LNG, power plants or other large infrastructure construction projects including pre-commissioning experience are a plus. PreferredSkills and Abilities
• Knowledge of environmental & safety requirements, industrial safety practices Intermediate
• Knowledge of construction best practices/techniques, and construction planning and scheduling Intermediate
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance & Quality Control best practices Beginner
• Knowledge of welding processes including NDT/ PWHT and applicable piping codes and standards Beginner
• Knowledge of piping, piping schedules, piping shop fabrication processes and best practices Intermediate
• Knowledge of engineering, construction and safety codes & standards Intermediate
• Understanding and ability to read and comprehend technical documents such as P&ID, Isometric Drawing, WPS/PQR, Piping Work & Test Packages; Primavera schedule Intermediate
• Understanding of piping pneumatic & hydrostatic tests procedures and methods Intermediate
• Understanding of rigging and heavy lifts construction best practices Intermediate
• Self-starter with proven leadership abilities, strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities Advanced
• Team player with ability to influence and manage a team to get positive results Advanced
• Good communication skills, both written and oral Advanced
• Able to present issues, concerns and provide recommendations and solutions to management Intermediate
